What is the story of Yulla Kanda Temple?
The Yulla Kanda temple enshrines a Swayambhu (self-manifested) idol of Lord Krishna. Local legend says Lord Krishna himself visited this spot during his Himalayan wanderings. The temple has been worshipped by local communities for centuries and is particularly revered during Janmashtami.
When does the Yulla Kanda temple open?
The temple is generally open from late April/early May until October/November. The exact opening and closing dates vary each year depending on snowfall. It closes in winter when the route becomes inaccessible due to snow.

Delhi to Yulla Khas village (Yulla Kanda base) is approximately 600 km by road. Most people drive overnight, departing Delhi in the evening and reaching Yulla Khas the next morning.
